Optimark was founded in 1988 to providing consulting services on Optical Fiber Marketing and Sales.
Since then, Optimark has evolved into a distributor/reseller of
state-of-the-art fiber optic components and test equipment

Marjorie Katz, President
Marjorie has over 20 years experience in the fiber optics / electro-optics
industries. She spent 6 years in marketing at the Honeywell Electro-Optics
Center, followed by positions as Director of Sales at Aetna Telecommunications
Labs and Aster Corp. She started Optimark in 1988 with SIFAM Fibre Optics
in the UK as her first client. Optimark still represents SIFAM in the
U.S.
Marjorie has a BA in Physics from Brandeis University and an
MBA from Boston University. She served as President of the New England
Fiberoptic Council in 1994 and has continued on the Executive Board for the past
10 years. During this period, she has served as the Chair of FiberFest.
Aaron Z. Snyder, Vice President Engineering
Aaron has more than 15 years experience in fiber optic transmission systems and test equipment. He
spent several years designing digital television transmission and display systems for Philco and GTE Labs, and developed methods for automatic testing
of digital communications equipment. He also has had considerable experience in sales of communications-related test equipment and television broadcast
systems for Tektronix and Harris Corp.
Aaron joined Optimark Fiber Optics in 1993 and provides both sales and engineering services to its
clientele. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from MIT and an MSE from the University of Pennsylvania.
