The VF-20 is an interferometric inspection system specifically designed for
testing optical fiber cleaves. The VF-20 will check the surface quality and
flatness of cleaved, polished or lensed fiber end at the flick of a
switch.
Based on the Michelson interferometer, the VF-20 benefits from a long working
distance, thus eliminating the risk of damage to the fiber end. The user can
select either an inspection mode, to view the quality of the fiber end, or an
interferometric mode, to characterize the surface flatness Suitable for checking flatness and end quality of 125um fibers.
The VF20 is able to measure the quality of both perpendicular and angled
fiber ends using removable precision fiber holders
