The EgideUK EFA52 02 ASSY Strain Relief Assembly provides a solid physical connection for 3mm-jacketed fiber optic cables to the bulkhead of a device, thereby preventing the cable from being pulled out of the device, even when undue force is applied to the cable. The plastic body mounts directly on the bulkhead, and the 3mm-jacketed cable is passed through the center hole. On the inside of the bulkhead, the cable's Kevlar strands are clamped to the plastic body using one of two clamping sleeves (whichever is appropriate). On the outside of the bulkhead, a flexible boot is attached to the plastic body, thereby providing control over the bend-radius of the cable exiting the strain-relief assembly.
