The AFXM FerruleCam Fiber Optic Connector Inspector is a video inspection device with a simple user-friendly focusing system. The scope can view connectors either in the bulkhead or at the end of a cable. It allows the user to inspect the connector end faces in a stable, high-resolution image, detecting contamination and scratches as small as 0.5μm. It has approximately 350μm horizontal field of view, which allows inspection of the whole of the 250μm ferrule contact zone.
