US Conec has introduced a new product to their line of IBC cleaners: the IBC M20, designed specifically for SMPTE 304 connectors. Each disposable cleaner has the capacity of a minimum of 525 cleaning cycles. The M20 cleaning tip is capable of cleaning ferrules on the female connector without the need for removal of the ferrule guides. The attached adapter, when installed, allows precise cleaning of the exposed ferrules on the male connector. The whole cleaning process is incredibly quick, and, under normal circumstances, will not require a second round of cleaning. (NOTE: one should always check the ferrules with a video scope to make certain that really difficult-to-remove contamination doesn't remain.)
The unit is rugged, and does not require any special treatment while being used or transported.
